Colorado Buffaloes Boost Recruiting Rankings with New Commitments

The Colorado Buffaloes have significantly improved their 2027 recruiting class by landing three new commitments over the weekend of June 12. Among the new recruits is three-star edge rusher Drew Sapp from Florida, along with unranked interior offensive lineman Jayin Talib, who is the nephew of Super Bowl champion Aqib Talib. Additionally, Colorado flipped three-star offensive lineman Coderro McDaniel from Ole Miss, further solidifying their recruiting efforts. These moves have propelled the Buffaloes up the recruiting rankings, now sitting at No. 35 overall according to On3/Rivals and No. 33 per 247Sports. Previously, Colorado was ranked outside the top 75, reflecting a remarkable turnaround under head coach Deion Sanders. Currently, the Buffaloes have 16 recruits committed for the 2027 class, with 13 of those pledges coming between May 19 and June 14. This surge in commitments has not only improved their overall ranking but also positioned them as a contender for the top recruiting class in the Big 12. As of now, Colorado ranks fourth in the conference, trailing only Kansas State, West Virginia, and Texas Tech. The Buffaloes are aiming to close the gap on these teams as the early signing period approaches. Key recruits include four-star offensive tackle Li'Marcus Jones and four-star safety Gabe Jenkins, both of whom turned down offers from major SEC programs to join Colorado. With these new additions, the Colorado Buffaloes are building momentum for a strong future in college football.
